What happens when you hit a Free limit

You keep every document you've created. When you hit a Free limit, we show you exactly what's blocked and what it costs to unblock it:

  1. Your 2nd active client (client_limit) — Upgrade to Pro: up to 100 active clients, $9/mo.
  2. Your 4th document this month (doc_limit) — Upgrade to Pro: 200 documents/month, $9/mo.
  3. Want the portal without the badge (branding) — White label is a Pro feature, $9/mo.
  4. Need automatic reminders (reminders) — Reminders are a Pro feature, $9/mo.
  5. Need a custom domain (custom_domain) — Custom domains are a Pro feature, $9/mo.

Payments

Online payments roll out at launch with Stripe: your clients will pay invoices by card through a payment link, and the status writes back to your project. We'll email you when billing goes live.

Refunds

Pro — Pro includes a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first payment (once per customer). Cancel anytime: your plan stays active to the end of the billing period, and monthly fees are not prorated.

Lifetime — $299 Lifetime includes a 14-day money-back guarantee on your purchase (once per customer). After 14 days, purchases are final.

How to ask — Email support@clientportal.example with your account email and invoice number. Approved refunds are returned in full to the original payment method within 10 business days; your bank may take longer to post it. We don't deduct processing fees from refunds.

After a refund — Your account moves to the Free plan and your data stays. Anything over Free limits becomes read-only.

What happens when I hit a Free limit?

Nothing is deleted. A prompt tells you exactly what's blocked and the upgrade price; your existing data stays and remains accessible.

What's the difference between Pro and Lifetime?

Same features. Pro is $9/mo and keeps updating as long as you subscribe. Lifetime is one payment of $299 with 12 months of feature updates and email support — after that you keep the version you bought, with security fixes.

Do you take a cut of my payments?

Payment links run through your own Stripe account; we'll confirm our processing terms before launch.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Pro is billed monthly and you can cancel anytime; your plan stays active to the end of the billing period, and monthly fees are not prorated.

Do you offer refunds?
